Ireland best news is accounting and consulting firm Deloitte has announced a major job windfall for unemployment with plans to create 400 jobs in the country over the next four years, including a number of tech roles. Deloitte, which is officially revealing the major jobs boost later this morning with the Minister for career Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton, is looking particularly to expand its consulting arm of the business. According to RTÉ, the company will look to fill 100 of work positions immediately followed by the gradual rollout of the remaining 300 jobs over the following three years.

Deloitte has said that the roles on offer for job applicants are wide-ranging but particularly focused on fintech and big data analytics. To this end, the jobs to become available will be in the roles of big data analytics, digital design, tech strategy and transformation, business intelligence, finance transformation, fintech, HR and customer strategy. It is believed that the majority of the jobs will be based in Dublin, with some roles expected to be created in the company’s other branches in Cork and Limerick. Following on from this employment news, Deloitte has also confirmed the completed acquisition of System Dynamics, having received approval from the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission. System Dynamics is considered one of the largest tech consultants in the country and at the time of the original acquisition back in July System Dynamics’ CEO Tony McGuire said: “This development gives us the scale to work with larger clients nationally and internationally, while giving existing clients access to the broad range of services offered by Deloitte including business advisory services and global delivery centres.”

Commenting on the announcement, managing partner at Deloitte, Brendan Jennings, said: “Companies, and the marketplaces in which they operate, are in a near-constant state of disruption and as a result there is a significant demand for the integrated approach, quality, and innovation advice which we can provide. “We are investing heavily in digital, technology, business intelligence, and analytics jobs which are looking to grow our consulting team to almost 1,000 people over the next four years, so that we are well placed to help our clients make the right choices for their businesses.”
