Mayweather-Pacquiao tickets sold out quickly!!

The tickets for the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao fight sold out today quickly soon after going on sale, according to Fight News. There weren’t a lot of tickets that were available to the general public, so it’s not surprising that they were scooped up quickly by boxing fans. For a fight of this great magnitude, they needed a large stadium to put the fight in because the MGM Grand in Las Vegas is simply too small for the amount of fans that want to see it. This is the type of fight that would have been perfect for the huge 90,000 seat Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Fans can purchase tickets to the closed circuit viewing of the fight in Las Vegas. There are over 30,000 tickets that are on sale. I’m sure that’s not exactly what a lot of fans are looking for. They wanted to see the fight live, not on a large theatre screen.

It's quoted “So did any of you actually get one of the few Mayweather-Pacquiao tickets that went on sale for the public? #boxing,” Dan Rafael said on his twitter. “For those asking, I’m still waiting to hear about the specifics on how to get Mayweather-Pacquiao weigh-in tickets. I will let you know.”
Hopefully the fight lives up to the billing. You can expect both guys to give it their all to make it an exciting fight, but there’s definitely a great deal of pressure on both of them to make it an exciting affair due to the high cost of the tickets and the pay-per-view. Paying $100 to watch it on PPV is a steep price given the undercard that they’ve packaged with it. The co-feature bout is Leo Santa Cruz vs. Anthony Settoul in a 10 round non-title bout.

Without any real undercard in terms of quality fights, it puts a lot of pressure on Mayweather and Pacquiao to put on a great fight for the fans so that they feel like they’ve received their money’s worth. The co-feature bout between Santa Cruz and Settoul certainly isn’t a good one. It’s more of an off TV type of bout considering how much of a mismatch it is.

Boxing fans will have to pay to see the weigh-in for the card the day before. It’s usually free to see a weigh-in, but not in this case. They’ve decided to charge the fans. The money that they receive will go to pay the crowd control staff and whatever is left over will go to charity.

Here are the other fights on the score card:
Vasyl Lomachenko vs. Gamalier Rodriguez
Jesse Hart vs. Mike Jimenez
Christopher Pearson vs. Said El Harrak
Andrew Tabiti vs. Anthony Caputo Smith
Brad Solomon vs. Adrian Granados
